Adaptations

If you have a physical disability, I can fit a variety of adaptations to the car to help you drive. I can also carryout an assessment on your first lesson to ascertain, which adaptations you will need. I have taught people to drive using most adaptations, including ‘space drive’ controls and ring accelerators. If you click on the links below you can see photos of different adaptations to help you understand how you could drive a car. I have grouped the adaptations together into eight sections.

How do I drive if I can’t use my left arm?

How do I drive if I can’t use my right arm?

How do I drive if I can’t use my left leg?

How do I drive if I can’t use my right leg?

How do I drive if I can’t use either of my legs?

How do I drive if my legs are short?

How do I drive if I can’t turn my neck or back?

How do I drive if I can’t move the handbrake or gear stick?
