Meet the driving instructor
My name is Lee Pollard. I specialise in giving driving instruction in an automatic car to both able-bodied and disabled people. I have been a qualified DSA approved driving instructor since 1998 and I have been on the QEF register to teach disabled people since 1999. I cover Sheffield, North Derbyshire and parts of Rotherham. I can teach you if you live in the following postcodes: S1 to S39, S43 and S60.
My pass rate this year is 62%; 13 tests, 8 passes and 5 fails.
I provide patient, friendly tuition to put you at your ease. I have lots of experience of teaching nervous people to drive and people for whom English is their second language. If you have a disability, I can fit a variety of adaptations to the car to help you drive it and can carryout an assessment on your first lesson to ascertain, which adaptations you will need. For recently qualified drivers, I can offer pass plus lessons to get you cheaper insurance. For experienced drivers returning to driving after an accident or becoming disabled, I can offer refresher courses.
I have taught people to drive with the following disabilities: Spina Bifida, Cerebral Palsy, Hemiplegia and Hemiparesis caused by a stroke, Multiple Sclerosis (MS), Chronic Fatigue Syndrome (ME), Muscular Dystrophy, Polio, Leg & Spine injuries, Brachial Plexus/Arm Paralysis, Spondylosis, Amputated Limbs, Arthritis, Arthrogryposis, Learning Difficulties, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, Asperger's syndrome, squints, Deafness and Hard of Hearing.
