Theory test tutorials

Tests
Introduction
The tutorials are done online using zoom. Although the tutorials are aimed at pupils with specific educational needs, anyone is welcome to enrol. There are fifteen hour-long tutorial sessions. The tutorials cover each of the theory test sections one by one. Each tutorial will cover what you need to know to answer the questions in that section and then cover some questions in the section. In between tutorials it is expected that pupils complete the unanswered questions that we didn’t do, as homework. The tutorials will also cover using a process of elimination to answer questions that are difficult. The tutorials will also cover hazard perception and case study questions. The class size will be limited to three pupils to make it easier to give individual help, if necessary. There is a booklet to go with this course. It can be downloaded from the theory test page of this website. Pupils will need to have read the Highway Code prior to commencing the tutorials and have a printed copy of the booklet in front of them.

What if I am deaf or hard of hearing?
Unfortunately, if you are profoundly deaf the only way you would be able to follow the sessions is if someone sits next to you and translates what is said into sign language. The way zoom works makes it difficult to lip-read the person speaking. If you have some hearing you may be able to hear with the volume turned up, as long as you are wearing headphones or earplugs. Contact me first to try this before paying.

How much will it cost?
When done as a group of three the total cost is £150 for all fifteen tutorials. This works out at £10 per hour.
When done as a one to one tutorial the cost is £450 for all fifteen tutorials. This works out at £30 per hour.

How do I pay?
You can pay by card. When you have paid I will send you a link to the tutorials.

How do I connect to the tutorials?
You will need to view them on a device with a screen larger than a mobile phone, such as a tablet, laptop or desktop computer. For the best sound quality you need to use either earplugs or headphones and use it in a quiet room without background noise. You will need to download the Zoom app.
